Good Roads for Moldova program will continue in 2019. PDM plans to repair 2600 more kilometers of road.

Vlad Plahotniuc, PDM chairman declared that this decision was taken after a lot of requests came on this topic.

Plahotniuc said that it is for the first time when the party at the Governance fulfills people's expectations.

"These days, I participated at several events, including a meeting with the people in Micleuseni village, Straseni district, on the occasion of the inauguration of a new road in this village. In the discussion we had with the citizens, I found out that people appreciate our work, but they also make a clear difference between the work and efficiency of the Democratic Party government and the governments that were up to us, who only promised and did not word", said Vlad Plahotniuc.

PDM leader added that these estimates of citizens are confirmed by statistical data. Thus, for 7 years, before the Democratic Party assumed the government, less than 1,000 kilometers of roads have been repaired, which means roughly 140 kilometers per year. The PDM, however, finalizes the repair and construction of 1,600 kilometers of roads in 2018, or 12 times more than the average of previous governments.

Another example brought by PDM leader is related to aqueduct construction and water supply. Here too, during 2009-2016 period, that is, during the same 7 years, about 54,000 beneficiaries were connected to the water network, which means only 7,500 people per year.

Instead, over the past two years, over 106,000 new beneficiaries have been connected to the water network, which means 53,000 beneficiaries per year, that is, 7 times more than during the previous governments.

"These are absolute figures for the Moldovan governments since we've got the independence. The figures do not lie, and these achievements and appreciations of the people encourage us and motivate us to give a new dimension to these projects", Vlad Plahotniuc pointed out.

The leader announced that the PDM will launch the Good Roads Program for Moldova 2, through which approximately 2,600 kilometers of roads will be built and repaired in 2019. 

In the field of water supply, the PDM has set the goal to connect to the aqueduct from next year to at least 100,000 beneficiaries per year, which is twice as much as the record of the past two years.

"This is possible if you know how to efficiently manage state resources, as Democratic Party government has already proven", the PDM leader said.

In the next weekend sessions, PDM will also discuss other topics, 'List of Citizens' Priorities and launch new projects, including the field of agriculture, a subject that is also of great concern for citizens.
