The National Bank of Moldova has chosen 17 graphic design specialists with whom they will work for future numismatic issues.

The selection criteria were the following ones: originality, conceptual creativity, consistency of design elements, feasibility of designs for coin production.

At the same time, in the list there are painters who cooperated with NBM to design the jubilee coins and the coins worth 1 and 2 lei.

The authors of the numismatic issues will receive between 5.000 and 10.000 lei for each design.

The numismatic collections of BNM include 130 topics. The first commemorative coin of Moldova has been released in 1996.
