A man and woman who are 49 and 37 of age, residing in Chisinau were detained, suspected of selling drugs in the form of psychotropic drugs in particularly large proportions. The value of the detected drugs as well as the sold ones amounts to over 200,000 lei.
According to the law, the man acts as a neurologist at a hospital in the Capital, and the woman is a consumer. The doctor sold psychotropic drugs and issued false prescriptions that allowed drug users to buy pharmacies under the control of the state as having psychotropic effects.
The suspects were detained while they were selling drugs, and control purchases were made.
Following searches, several pills and boxes of psychotropic drugs, prescriptions that were to be filled in for third parties, printed with the wet stamp, were erected in the doctor's office. At the suspect's home, similar recipes have been issued with the stamp applied but without completing the name of the preparation, as well as psychotropic drugs.
At the same time, at the woman's home, recipes were discovered and picked up, but stamped and signed by the doctor, as well as several psychotropic drugs.
Suspects have been arrested for 30 days and run from 7 to 15 years of jail.
