A National Jewish History Museum will be opened in Chisinau

A National Jewish History Museum will be opened in Chisinau and national legislation to combat Anti-Semitism, intolerance and xenophobia will be improved. Prime Minister Pavel Filip and Ronald Lauder, president of the World Jewish Congress (WJC), agreed on these things.
Discussions also covered social policies on the protection of Holocaust victims, updating the educational program in the Republic of Moldova in the field, as well as international cooperation on this segment.
Officials noted the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Republic of Moldova, the US and Israel, including the International Alliance for the Memory of Holocaust Victims.
In this regard, several actions to be undertaken by the Chisinau authorities for the preservation of the Jewish heritage on the territory of our country were highlighted.
For his part, Ronald Lauder expressed gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Moldova for its good attitude towards the Jews.
