Russia continues to threaten regional security, but also to jeopardize global order. It is the opinion of the Members of Georgia, Ukraine and Azerbaijan, gathered in Chisinau at the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly.
Moldovan lawmaker Andrian Candu said that the main challenges remain the Transnistrian conflict and the fight against propaganda.
"Regretfully, since the creation of the Assembly, we have not been able to achieve tangible results on this issue. Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and now Ukraine suffer from this, so we need common actions to promote our interests and aspirations at the international level", said Andrian Candu, Parliament Speaker.
"We have a sad but important common point. Our countries have to fight for territorial integrity", said GUAM Parliamentary Assembly President Vadim Pistrinciuc.
Heads of delegates from Georgia, Ukraine and Azerbaijan also referred to the negative influence from Russia.
"The territory of our countries continues to be occupied, the rights of millions of people are violated and they are forced to have refugee status," Azar Kirimli, head of the Azerbaijan National Assembly delegation to AP GUAM.
"The common work to deal with this political aggression that the Russian Federation is conducting against our countries is a key element," said interim vice president of the Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Delegation at AP GUAM Ivan Krulko.
At the end of the 11th session, countries will sign a joint declaration. This year, the chair of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development GUAM is held by Moldova. The year will take Ukraine.
