Businessmen welcome the fiscal reform that will come into force on October 1.
Several entrepreneurs who participated in a rewarding event of economic agents in Rezina mentioned that the legislative changes will reduce the pressure on the business environment.
Among them is Oxana Selcenco. The woman manages a company that provides accounting services.
"We are happy with the new changes that have been made in the legislation, that is, since October 1, it will already be a fixed quota, it will be easier to calculate, it is a very high support," said entrepreneur Oxana Selcenco.
The reform is also expected by Ion Luchian from Cuizăuca village, Rezina district, which has a cattle farm.
"I see here more clarity, because if we take the taxes, the employment and accounting regulations," said entrepreneur Ion Luchian.
And Iurie Rusu from Rezina has a company that sells building materials. The man says that thanks to the changes he will be able to develop his business.
"To achieve results, it is necessary to support entrepreneurship. What is being done right now is a good way. Reform is welcome, thank you," said entrepreneur Iurie Rusu.
The Minister of Economy, present at the event, says fiscal reform will also create better conditions for attracting foreign investors.
"We use it as an extra argument for those who come to invest. When we go and convince foreign investors, we tell them what reforms are, what are the conditions and what are the advantages, investing in Moldova, compared to other countries", Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, said Chiril Gaburici.
Rezina district president claims that local authorities also support entrepreneurs.
"We have emphasized on this competition the appreciation, motivation and stimulation of the economic agents, because we are in the eighth edition. We have increased the opening of the new enterprises, so if in 2011 when I came to the position of the president of Rezina rayon in Rezina district we have around 8,000 businesses, today we have over 9,500", said Rezina District chairman Eleonora Graur.
The tax reform provides for a reduction in the income tax for individuals from 18% to 12%, by setting a single rate, but also by doubling the personal exemption. It is also stipulated that the employer's contribution to the State Social Insurance Budget should be reduced from 23% to 18%.
At the same time, the legislative package includes a 20% to 10% VAT rate reduction for restaurants, hotels, cafes, catering.
