Raising employee incomes, fighting the shadow economy and better conditions for business development. They are the forecasts of the authorities and of the business environment following the implementation of the tax reform that has come into effect today. Among the provisions of the initiative are the reduction of the income tax for individuals from 18 to 12 percent and the doubling of the personal exemption, from 11,280 lei to 24,000 lei. It also stipulates the reduction of the employer's contribution to the State Social Insurance Budget from 23 percent to 18.
"These measures would have a financial impact in the amount of 2.4 billion lei in the yearly calculation. This money, somewhere around 1.7 billion, will remain at the disposal of the business to increase the investments, to increase the salaries. part, around 700 million, these are the savings of employees who will not pay these amounts in the form of income tax, "said Ion Chicu, Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance.
The legislative package also includes reducing the VAT rate from 20 to 10 percent for restaurants, hotels, cafes and catering. Representatives of this field claim that thanks to the new measures they will be able to increase the quality of services.
"That money we will receive from this economy, we will use for the development of the enterprise and to further develop the hospitality. We will think about what we could still astonish our guests," said Zinaida Jarcutchi , representative of the hotel management.
Representatives of the field also say that tax reform will help ensure fair competition.
"What remains within the company of that VAT is an impetus to developing and maintaining fair competition. We stick these stickers. Thank the Government for VAT reduction", said Aneta Zasavitchi, president of the National Association of Restaurants.
All these provisions are contained in the pro-business package adopted by Parliament at the end of July. The document also provides for the limitation of abuses by legal structures in the business environment. Thus, the initiative makes a rule in the procedure of raising goods and documents from economic agents in an investigation.
