Pavel Filip about Law of Teacher Remuneration: Young specialists who will go to work in villages will get allowances for 120,000 lei
Higher allowances and a fair and balanced pay system, this is what the Government wants for all teachers in the Republic of Moldova. In this context, at today's Government meeting, Prime Minister Pavel Filip came up with some statements regarding the teachers' salary law:
"We will increase the allowance for young specialists who go to the villages from 45 thousand lei to 120 thousand lei, those who have university studies and from 36 thousand to 96 thousand lei for graduates of vocational schools.
Another project provides for an amount of 2,000 lei for each teacher, as stipulated in the Code of Education for School Supplies and Teaching Materials. And I think it is a step, perhaps not the most important but a step we offer these finances so that we make life easier for teachers. And it is perhaps significant that it happens on the eve of Teacher's Day.
At the same time, I want to emphasize that we need to have a systemic approach: do not scratch the coat of arms, cutting down the hands, but be sure we have created an efficient education system and I assure you that then we will find the necessary money.
So far, that allows for our budget, we will still have stronger financial capabilities and we will allow more and we will come with other financial supplements. All the more so, we have prioritized the approval of the law on pay and it is an ambition to endorse this law by the end of the parliamentary session, so that from 1 January we know that we have a fair, balanced pay system so that everybody receives the salary according to the capacities and the function he has", said Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
PUBLIKA.MD reminds that last summer, the Ministry of Labor elaborated a new concept of payroll. As a result, the employees' list from the state was increased by 10 percent. And as of September 1, teachers receive higher wages by eight per cent.
