The image of the teachers in the community will be promoted by Andrian Candru, the President of the Parliament. The necessity to organize such a campaign was discussed by Andrian Candu and a group of teachers.

The President of the Parliament thanked the teachers for their hard work and dedication. I

"Nothing can be compared with the activity of the teachers. I know that it is very hard to be a teacher. Our country doesn't have a future without you", said Andrian Candu.

The President of the Parliament announced that the authorities prepare to change the system of paying the salaries for teachers. Within the meeting, they discussed the problems of the system, the role of the teacher in the society, bu also the changes within the educational system.

On the World Teachers' Day, Andrian Candu awarded some teachers. Among them there are: Mariana Marin, the rector of Cahul University, Andrei Popa, the rector of Comrat State University, Zaharia Serghei, Otilia Dandara and Anatol Gremalschi university teachers, Gabriel Palade, the director of Financial College, Lilia Racila, the director of Alexandru Plamadeala Lyceum and many others.

The international teachers' day is celebrated each year on October 5, starting 1994.
