The promotion of a consistent Moldovan-Slovak political dialogue, the development of trade-economic relations and another order between the Republic of Moldova and Slovakia, as well as the support of the Bratislava partners in the implementation of the structural reform agenda under the RM-EU Association Agreement were discussed at Kiev, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Tudor Ulianovschi, with his Slovak counterpart, Miroslav Lajčák.
Minister Tudor Ulianovschi praised the support of the Republic of Moldova by the member states of the Visegrad Group (V4) and noted the importance attached by V4 to strengthening relations with the Eastern Partnership states. Referring to the deepening of the political dialogue between the Republic of Moldova and Slovakia, the head of the Moldovan diplomacy manifested interest in organizing the next round of bilateral political consultations in Chisinau and appreciated the financial and technical assistance provided by the Slovak Government to our country in carrying out national projects of importance major for the country's economy and citizens.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Miroslav Lajčák, reiterated the Moldovan authorities' support for the European course of the Republic of Moldova and the need to further implement reforms in different areas of social and economic life.
At the same time, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia encouraged the Chisinau authorities to ensure a good parliamentary elections in February next year.
In the context, the Slovak official assured his counterpart in Chisinau to support the structural reforms agenda both within the European structures and the V4 Group, where Slovakia took over the presidency since July 1, 2018.
