Increasing the single allowance will motivate graduates of pedagogical faculties to engage in schools. This is the opinion of young professionals and students who believe that public funds for the field can be invested in development.
Among the beneficiaries of the new increase are Ana Istrati, who is 22 years old. She has been working for three years at primary school in Pănăşeşti village, Straseni district. The young woman, who graduated from the Pedagogical College, has already received a large part of the allowance, which is 35,000 lei.
"Increasing this allowance will motivate young people to stay at home. I think young people are very grateful to both the ministry and the government for taking care of them," Ana Istrati said.
Graduates of higher education institutions will receive even more - 120 thousand lei, 40 thousand a year.
Future teachers already plan how they will spend money:
"I will do English courses, Master."
"This money will be welcome in each teacher's pocket, we will be able to buy teaching materials, but also to support the family."
Teachers are also pleased that they will not have to spend money on office supplies. The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to pay them two thousand lei a year for these purposes.
According to the Ministry of Education, more than 49 thousand teaching staff currently work in educational institutions, and two thousand places remain vacant.
