The meeting of honorary consuls of the Republic of Moldova is taking place in Chisinau. The event organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration aims at consolidating the relations between the public authorities and the honorary consuls and setting priorities for their activity for the next period.
A message of gratitude and gratitude was given by the Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Mr. Chiril Gaburici, the Honorary Consuls of the Republic of Moldova for their attribution in bilateral diplomacy and for the complementary support of the economic activity. "The presence of Honorary Consuls in different areas and areas makes our country more known, more visible and attractive, aiming at the development and consolidation of the commercial-economic relations with new foreign partners, interested in multidimensional cooperation with the economic agents of the Republic of Moldova. We continue to count on the support of Honorary Consuls in promoting the Republic of Moldova on the international arena, but also on doubling the efforts to attract foreign direct investments in our country. The bridge between economic consulates and the Republic of Moldova is the Investment Agency, and its purpose is to attract large investors to our country", said the Minister.
Chiril Gaburici mentioned that, "Each of them has a special relationship with our country, and the relationship is more than material, it is a soul relationship. I want to thank all honorary consuls for work, because we team up in attracting investments and last but not least, because they trust the potential of our country".
Present at the meeting, Secretary General of State, Iulia Costin, talked about the facilities that potential investors can benefit from. "The Republic of Moldova offers a number of facilities to potential investors, such as agreements with over 50 countries on avoiding double taxation, nearly 20 on free trade and 60 on visa-free travel. Communication routes - Giurgiulesti Harbor, Chisinau International Airport, the seven Free Economic Zones, 10 industrial parks, an IT park, visa and attractive work legislation for investors", said Iulia Costin.
At the meeting, Honorary Consuls are informed about the investment opportunities and facilities offered by the Republic of Moldova to foreign investors, reforms and measures aimed at facilitating the activity of economic agents. Also, the honorary consuls will make a familiarization visit to the Free Economic Zone of Balti, where they will document the offers for attracting foreign direct investments, increase the export potential of the Republic of Moldova, develop the existing infrastructure and the prospect of creating a new industrial infrastructure.
