Capital residents celebrate Wine Day
This year is the first time in history when 60 wine makers came ti present their products on Wine's Day.
The visitors came to taste the wines and the traditional food.
The event was started by Pavel Filip's speech.
"The wine we have here today presents the soul of Moldova. Our wines passed through hard times, such as Russian embargo. But, we passed it all and now our wines are exported in many other countries", declared Pavel Filip.
The Minister of Agriculture thanked the ones who work in the wine sector, for their hard work.
"I want to do everything possible to improve this field", said Nicolae Ciubuc, the minister of Agriculture.
"I invite you to know our wines and become the ambassadors of the Moldovan wine in the world", said Gheorge Arpentin, ONVV director.
Thus, the winemakers presented their wines.
The officials visited all the wine tents.
"At the end of the month, we will participate at the biggest wine exhibition from Portugal."
The visitors tasted many wines and then, they danced. The audience was amazed by Advahov brothers orchestra, Igor Rusu and Zinaida Julea.
The National Wine Day is at its 17th edition. This year, over 150 million lei was invested in this field. The vineyards had a harvest of 660 thousand tones of grapes.
