Good news for Moldovans. Today passports issued to people over 16 will be valid for ten years and not seven, as it has been so far.
In the new identity documents the mention of the blood group and the word "nationality" was excluded. Another change is that documents can also be released on the basis of an electronic signature.
Representatives of the Public Services Agency argue that the new changes will cut from queues to counters as citizens will come less.
At the same time, current IDs will remain valid until the expiration of their term. The price for finishing the document will be unchanged. For one month, for example, the tariff will be 850 lei.
