Edelweiss foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc visited Hancesti maternity ward
"A new life" campaign launched by Vlad Plahotniuc's foundation, Edelweiss continues to support the newborns from the country. This time, they said Welcome to a family from Hancesti maternity ward.
Elena Verdes gave birth to a girl, after 13 years of attempts that failed. The woman was surprised when Edelweiss foundation came to congratulate her.
Besides her husband, in the waiting room, there were also her other children, Samira, Artiom and Patricia. They couldn't look forward to met their new family member, Piotr.
"Now we have two boys and two girls. This is what we wanted", said the father.
The beneficiaries of the campaign appreciated this gesture.
"I received this present in 20 minutes after the birth. This is very useful."
The things from the present-box are necessary for us, said the director of the Hancesti Perinatology Center.
"This support is very important for this family, but especially for the poor families. People are glad about it", said Stefan Cojocaru, the interim of the Hancesti Perinatology Center.
"A new life" campaign was launched in March. Starting then, over 500 mothers benefited of the present boxes.
"A new life" campaign continues. We will continue to support the mothers of the newborns", said Lidia Cucos, project manager of Edelweiss foundation.
"We are happy for the new generation. It is great that such things are made in our country", said Alexandru Botnari, the mayor of Hancesti district.
"This is a great step of the Edelweiss foundation. We are very thankful", said Ghenadie Buza, the President of Hancesti district.
Totally, 25 thousand present boxes were given within "A new life" campaign of Edelweiss foundation. It was launched in 24 maternity wards from the country.
