The mechanism for informing the population about possible terrorist hazards and the measures taken by the authorities to prevent them will be improved. In this respect, the Executive has today approved the National Terrorist Alert System (SNAT). The document aims at preventing, deterring and combating terrorism on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
SNAT is a unique platform for notification and coordination of national measures. It includes recommendations for citizens in the event of a terrorist alert, the tasks of the authorities with attributions in the field and provides for the gradation of the anti-terrorist security situation according to the internal and regional hazards. SNAT has 4 levels: low (blue), moderate (yellow), high (orange) and critically (red). At each level of alert set, the competent authorities will undertake specific measures to ensure national security.
Today also, the Regulation on the organization and conduct of anti-terrorist tests was approved. These are necessary to improve the anti-terrorism protection system.
