Inhabitants of the block affected by the devastating explosion on Moscow Boulevard in Chisinau will be able to return to their homes in the end of December, and owners of the 10 worst affected apartments will be able to move back to homes in March 2019.
Premier Pavel Filip was informed today about the restoration work of the house, which suffered from an explosion on the night of October 6, current.
According to the officials, all the forces are focused on preparing the project to restore the four floors, and by the end of the month the work on the exterior of the house will be finished.
In order to avoid several similar situations, the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure.
1. Adjust the legal framework so that liquefied gas is only marketed by companies that will have a special license and will be responsible for checking and installing gas cylinders.
2. Tightening sanctions for breach of legislation on the use and marketing of gas bottles for household use.
3. Adjustment of fiscal-fiscal policy to reduce excise duty and VAT on imports of liquefied gas for household customers.
4. Controls in schools, kindergartens and hostels and promoting a campaign to inform the public about the risks of using gas cylinders.
5. Encourage people to use modern electric hotplates.
6. Analyze the opportunity and identify sources of financing for connecting blocks to the gas source.
The action plan is to be finalized and approved by the Prime Minister's order.
