Government had working meeting at Straseni. Prime Minister and Ministers discussed with local elected representatives about problems they are facing
Quality of medical services, lack of doctors in villages and assistance for children who have been left without parental care. These were some of the topics discussed subjects at a Government meeting at Straseni. This time, the members of the Cabinet of Ministers, headed by Prime Minister Pavel Filip, met the local authorities in Straseni district.
At the beginning of the meeting, the president of Straseni District referred to effective collaboration between local and central authorities.
"On the European path that Republic of Moldova is decisively going, it demonstrates the common goal pursued by the public administrations. The local public administrations in the district cooperate fruitfully, develop joint projects, partnerships", said Mihail Popa, president of Straseni district.
Doctors were interested in solving their problems.
The Prime Minister Pavel Filip recommended to doctors to support the reform that allows family doctors to open medical offices in villages.
"I fought for this reform for two years. Here we have it started, the resistance is great, including from the Ministry of Health. Primary medicine is important through the family doctor. For me is not so important that in clinics we have chiefs, accountants and so on" said Pavel Filip.
During the meeting, attention was paid to services for children without parental care.
"The government has initiated the financing of the minimum package of social packages and the Straseni District Council received two million lei, including one million lei for paternal services", said Silvia Radu, Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection.
Some mayors came up with initiatives to repair roads. They were urged to submit their files to the Good Roads program in 2019.
The inhabitants of Straseni district also complained that they encountered difficulties in selling agricultural production:
"They did not have where to sell agricultural production, I refer to grapes, apples and others".
"First discussed action of the new mission were to clarify the problems of these subjects".
Members of the Cabinet of Ministers have one day per week dedicated to trips to the territory.
