Following the incident on Monday, October 22, when several locals from Sipoteni, Calaraşi district, blocked the movement of the train from the Ungheni-Chisinau race, thus manifesting their upsetness with the reduced number of seats in this lining, several chiefs of divisions were fired.
The Internal Security Service has opened an investigation into this case, and the employees responsible for this situation have been sanctioned.
Thus, the general manager of SE. The Moldovan Railways ordered the dismissal of Chief of the Depot of Locomotives in Chisinau, as well as of the Chief of the Locomotive Services Service, from leading positions.
We also point out that, in order to avoid repetition of such incidents and to ensure decent travel, the CFM leadership ordered that, on Monday and Friday, when passenger traffic is increased, two sections on the Ungheni - Chisinau race.
The train from Ungheni - Chisinau runs daily, starting at 03:51 from Ungheni station, and at Sipoteni it arrives at 05:15, in the capital, stationing at 06:59. The cost of a trip for the entire route is 24 lei, Sipoteni and up to Chisinau the ticket price is 14 lei.
