The new electronic procurement system, M-TENDER will radically transform the way public money is spent, writes foreign journalists. The new system ensures total transparency, promotes competition and integrity, and facilitates access to information.
M-Tender is now used by the main ministries and 100 subordinate institutions. The legal and technical framework was provided with the active support of the EBRD and the European Union, which provided the necessary funds.
The launch of the electronic system aligns the practices of Moldova with those used internationally in the field of public administration. According to the Ministry of Finance, M-Tender will bring savings of almost one billion lei annually.
