New opportunities for pre-school teachers. Ministry of Education proposed studying program for them
Dozens of pre-school teachers who don't have studies in this field still work. In order to avoid this problem, the Ministry of Education launched a new program, thus, they can study at the Alexei Mateevici College from the Capital.
Galina Ciobanu is a pre-school teacher for already 25 years. The woman passed many courses, but now she can take a diploma.
"I like my job, because I love children. Now, I will have the opportunity to gain more knowledge", said Galina Ciobanu, pre-school teacher.
The courses take place two times a week and will take two years. The students will pass exams and tests.
"We need the knowledge that we gain here."
After getting the diplomas, the pre-school teachers will have more advantages.
"I will have a higher salary if I pass these courses."
The director of Alexei Mateevici college says that the persons who want to study are more and more.
"53 candidates have already applied. We will propose the Minister of Education to make a new group starting next year", said Victoria Bercu, the director of Alexei Mateevici college.
The authorities launched this alternative because of the lack of specialists in this field.
"According to the law, the persons who don't have studies in this field should not work in this field, but we allow them only due to the lack of students. This is why we proposed this alternative", said Angela Cutasevici, state secretary at the Ministry of Education.
Now in the Capital kindergartens there are 2507 teachers, but these need 337 more.
