The "Stefan cel Mare" Public Garden in the capital will be renovated. A group of young architects together with the Agency for the Inspection and Restoration of Monuments initiated a project to restore the park.
According to the project, there would be two new basin, the pavement, the banks and the lighting system would be changed.
"In 2018, 200 years have passed since the park was inaugurated. We must pay special attention, reconstruct it, bring it back to life," said Natalia Vintilova, architect.
"We propose to restore, first of all, the architectural monuments, the basin, the fence around the park and the lanterns", said Marina Turuta, architect.
"They are super boys, there are a lot of people, very many children and it is a great pleasure, we are in the center and it would be good to renew ourselves."
"Of course, it would be very good to come. Here the world comes to rest, especially in the summer."
Ion Stefanita, director of the Agency for Inspection and Restoration of Monuments, said that the details of the project will be publicly discussed. Both the specialists and the citizens will be able to propose landscaping ideas. He also urged economic agents to get involved.
"Our expectations are in the involvement in this project and in supporting this project by all the economic agents who are the true patriots of this city. Come together to make the Public Garden Stefan cel Mare truly a city card", said Ion Stefanita.
The renovation works will begin in February and are scheduled to be completed by the end of May.
