Prime Minister Pavel Filip had a telephone conversation with the President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis. Pavel Filip congratulated Klaus Iohannis on the occasion of the National Day of Romania, celebrated on December 1, and the Centenary of the Great Union.

The prime minister thanked for the constant support given to our country by Romania. The most recent manifestation of this support is the promulgation of the law on the construction of the Union Motorway: Targu Mures - Iasi - Ungheni yesterday, and including the bridge over the Prut River in Ungheni.

Several other important projects are underway, including: the reduction of roaming charges, the continuation of rehabilitation programs for kindergartens and schools, and energy interconnection projects.

The prime minister also expressed gratitude for Romania's support for Romania in its European path.

Pavel Filip and Klaus Iohannis agreed to intensely engage with the Presidency of the Council of the European Union during the mandate of Romania to advance the European integration process of the Republic of Moldova.
