The decision regarding organization of consultative referendum on February 24, 2019, at the same time with the parliamentary elections, was published in the Official Gazette. Thus, Moldovans will be asked if they agree to reduce the number of deputies from 101 to 61, but also if they want to dismiss the people who do not fulfill their commitments.
On the election day, in the polling stations, the voters will receive four ballots. Two of these will include the names and surnames of the candidates on the uninominal constituencies and party names, and two more will contain the referendum questions.
The latest poll "Vox Populi", conducted by the Association of Sociologists and Demographers, shows that 72 percent of Moldovans are advocating for decreasing the number of MPs.
