Moldovan Prime Minister Pavel Filip met with residents of the villages of Peresecina and Camencea villages from Orhei district.

Prime - Minister Pavel Filip discussed today with villagers Peresecina and Camencea from Orhei. People talked about the problems they face and called for Government support to overcome them. The dialogue was a sincere and productive one.

Pavel Filip said that many of the issues addressed are common to all localities: lack of water and sanitation systems, waste management, poor condition of roads.

"Our problem is not the lack of money but the bad administration," the prime minister said. Over the years, more money has been distributed from the Environmental Fund, little for each locality, but none of them has been chosen.

That is why the Government has now come up with a systemic approach. Soon master plans will be approved for the construction of water and sanitation systems in localities, but also for solid waste management.

"It is a shame that in the 21st century we do not have water and sanitation systems in the localities", said Pavel Filip.

At the same time, the program "Good roads for Moldova" was launched for the repair of local roads. Until now, 1600 km of local roads have been repaired, with 1 billion 600 million lei invested for this purpose. At the same time, the program was extended to next year.

The Prime Minister also referred to other reforms made by the Government to increase the economy and the standard of living of the population. Among them, pension reform, payroll, tax reform, customs, but also improvement of the business environment. Due to the increase in tax receipts, the budget has been raised by 2 billion lei more. At the same time, total revenues in the budget have accrued 4 billion lei more than the planned amount.

Another topic related to the results recorded in the field of education, where the teachers' salaries were increased by 22.8% and the allowance for the young specialists increased to 120 thousand lei.

"The salary is still small, but it is a step forward. We will be rich if we have a strong educational system", said the Prime Minister.

During the discussions, the issue of small pensions for people with disabilities was also addressed. The prime minister has promised that they will be increased in the near future.

"We have to intervene and remove this injustice through essential increases of the disability pension", added Pavel Filip.
