Moldovans will be able to buy train tickets for travels through Romania right from Chisinau train station. In the spring of next year a RoTicket house will be opened in the Capital.The subject was discussed by the General Director of the Railway, Iurie Topala, during a working meeting with the General Director of the Romanian Railways, Leon Barbulescu.
According to the officials, for the beginning, the program will be installed at one of the Chişinău railway station houses.
At the same time, Iurie Topala announced that in order to be able to effectively implement this sales system, for a month, several railway employees will be trained in Iasi.
At the meeting, they also discussed the increase in the number of low-cost tickets for the Chisinau-Bucharest route.
Now, they can be purchased from Chişinău and Bucharest Train Stations at a price of 19 Euro. The SMART Friendship program provides a total of 16 such tickets a day.
