Pavel Filip, the prime minister of Moldova held  meeting with Traian Basescu, the former President of Romania.

The prime minister thanked the former Romanian president for the aid offered by Romania to Moldova. The chief of the Government declared that he will continue to do everything possible to unite the both banks of Prut.

Also, Traian Basescu said that within his meeting with Pavel Filip, they discussed about the relationship between Moldova and the Eu, but also about internal problems and solving the Transnistrean conflict.

Traian Basescu was the Romanian President between 2004 and 2014. During his last mandate, Romania adhered to the EU.
