The National Unity Party leaded by former Transports minister, Anatol Salaru won't participate at the elections from February 24. The announcement was made today within a press conference.
The decision not to participate at the 2019 elections was taken by the Republican Council of the party, where Traian Basescu, former Cotroceni leader also participated.
Anatol Salaru says that the participation of PUN at the elections will divide people in pro-Europeans and unionists. This will make the right wing parties win.
