Saint Dumitru church from the Capital tries to get the compensation after the fire that occurred due to Jurnal TV journalists on Easter.

The team of the TV channel doesn't recognize their guilt and refuse to pay the damage that is worth three million lei.

The representatives of the church acted to trial the company.

"We announced the Court of Appeal about this case. They considered that our request is true. We tried to discuss about this case with Val Butnaru, but we didn't have any replies", said Mihai Popescu lawyer.

Jurnal TV's director, Val Butnaru didn't want to comment on this accusations.

We remind that the fire took place on April 12, 2015 on the Easter night, during the live broadcasting of church's service.

The expertise of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations shows that the flames extinguished because of the short circuit, after the employees of Jurnal TV broke the rules of installing the electric equipment.

The bell and the dome were damaged most of all. To renovate these, the church spent four million lei.
