A woman in serious condition was transported with an SMURD crew from Chisinau Airport to Balti
An injured Moldavan woman in Egypt was urgently brought into the country with an air raid. Subsequently, from the Chisinau International Airport, the patient was taken over by a SMURD crew, who transported it to the Balti hospital.
The 37 years old woman says she is unofficially working in a travel agency and is on a visit to Egypt. A week ago, she fell into the hollow from five feet high, from the balcony of a hotel room.
"Because I am a romantic woman, I saw the starry sky and I wanted to go out to the balcony. I fell into the open because the balcony had no floor".
The woman, who made her medical insurance for Egypt, was hospitalized there for a week, after which she was transported home. Doctors say the young woman is in serious but stable condition.
"The patient has already been examined by magnetic resonance at the backbone and is in steady treatment in Egypt. Due to the fact that the intervention and the long-term treatment has been decided to be transferred and to operate the patient in Moldova", the head of the department said neurosurgery, SCM Balti, Viorel Guranda.
The young relatives say she is going to undergo surgery costing 60,000 lei. The woman will have to pay for her own money because she does not have a medical insurance policy.
"The insurance agency did not want to pay for the flight to the house, we received vouchers and paid for them. Now we have to find money for surgery that is very expensive".
The woman is married and has two children.
