The former Parliament deputy, Andrei Bastovoi was released from prison before the term. In 2013, he was sentenced to nine years behind bars for embezzlement when he was the deputy President of Ascom Group, the company of Anatol Stati.

His son, Valentin was sentenced to eight years behind bars. Then, the Chisinau Court of Appeal reduced the punishment to 7,5 and 7 years. They have been detained in 2011. Two years ago, the two of them have been paroled for 72 hours after the wife of Andrei Brasoveanu died after she got gas intoxicated in her own house.
