Police got another 39 new cars
Another 39 new cars for police officers were assigned today to the intervention groups and district inspectorates. The ceremony was attended by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Dorin Purice, the head of the PGI, Alexandru Panzari, and several policemen.
"25 of these cars, namely Dacia Duster, will be incorporated today into the unique 112 emergency recall device. Another 14 cars that are meant for escorting today's detainees will leave the territory and those in police custody will have by another state attitude. Police become more modern, more professional, but most importantly the citizen's needs", said Alexandru Panzari, Chief of PGI.
The machines are equipped with GPS, surveillance cameras and communication stations. The cars cost the state budget 19 million lei.
In December, 30 cars were allocated, equipped with mobile forensic laboratories, and in the spring of last year, another 42 cars were purchased for the Criminal Investigation Subdivisions of the General Police Inspectorate.
