A man from Capital, detained by policemen. He stole goods from hospitals and selling at market
A 38 years old man from the Capital, previously judged, was detained by police. The individual is suspected of committing a range of thefts of medical institutions.
He is suspected of at least nine cases of theft from medical institutions located on the territory of the Center sector during November - January. According to the information, the man took advantage of the absence of patients in the salons and of the doctors in the office, and was collecting money and goods.
Five of the thefts occurred at the Oncology Institute on N. Testimiteanu Street, three of the Children's Municipal Clinical Hospital, where from two salons they took out mobile phones belonging to the patients and from the doctor's office in the bag he stole money, the damage being of about 50,500 lei.
The most recent case took place at the Oncology Institute, located on N. Testimiteanu Street, on the January 6 this year. He walked into an office in the hospital, through free access, from where he removed the mobile phone from the wardrobe in the amount of 5,955 lei, and then he headed in an unknown direction. The stolen goods sold them to the capital markets at symbolic prices.
The individual was detained for a period of 72 hours in the Israeli Police Directorate of the municipality of Chisinau, where he is prosecuted for theft. The man risks a fine of 32,500 to 67,500 lei or unpaid community service from 180 to 240 hours, or to imprisonment for up to 4 years.
The police also take special additional investigative measures in order to establish his complicity in other similar cases recorded from the territory of the Capital.
