The children in the reanimation department of Valentin Ignatenco Municipal Hospital will now be in brighter, warmer rooms equipped with the necessary equipment. The comfort is ensured after the section has been renovated capital. With more than 3 million lei offered by the municipality, new furniture has been brought here for both staff and patients.

According to the director of the Valentin Ignatenco Children's Hospital, the department has not been repaired for about 20 years. 

"There were no spaces around the patients' beds, there was not enough space to move around when giving medical attention. The gas system was placed on the ceiling. The floor is more resistant to antiseptics", said the director of "Valentin Ignatenco" Children Hospital, Alexandru Holostenco. 

"An intensive care and resuscitation salon has been renovated for the most serious patients and has been equipped with everything to save a child's life", said Tatiana Covalschi, head of the resuscitation department.

Medical staff claims that because of modern equipment, babies will have a more efficient and faster treatment.

"We have wardrobes for every nurse, we put the work clothes, and here we put the clothes at home", said Ala Cosencova.

"Monitors are in every patient. Oxygen, not to mention, is centralized", said the medical nurse, Ioana Gurau.

Present at the official inauguration ceremony of the section, the interim mayor of Capital has stated that the authorities will check the quality of the works in all the municipal hospitals, which received last year money for repairs.

"We will go to check the quality of the works in order to see the conditions. We want to ensure the patients' comfort. For 2019 we continue with the sterilization and pharmacy department so that we will have modern conditions there", said the interim mayor of Capital, Ruslan Codreanu.

In a few months, the ORL Section of the Valentin Ignatenco Children's Hospital will be inaugurated. The repair will cost about two million lei.
