Three mayors from Straseni district accuse Promo-LEX Association of falsifying data in the most recent monitoring report of the electoral period. The local elected representatives reject the statements that somebody would have asked them to secure signatures for the registration of Prime Minister Pavel Filip in the Parliamentary race at the Straseni district. 

The report mentions that a representative of the Democratic Party of Moldova would authoritatively ask the Mayor of Romanesti village to identify 30 people to sign for Pavel Filip's candidacy. Mayor Isidor Savin says he is surprised at the ease with which Promo-LEX accuses him of something but without evidence.

"I have not received any indication, all the people who signed, signed on their own conscience, so I can not comment on this, because I do not know, I honestly tell you I was surprised to be informed that I was pressed, what is not true", said Isidor Savin, mayor of Romanesti village. 

Similar reactions had also the mayors of the villages Radeni and Roscani, and they also referred to them in the Promo-LEX report. 

"I believe that the purpose of information is first and foremost misinforming people and drawing the negative side on the governing party. It is necessary to stop such situations, because we have more misinformation than information in recent times. the image of the institution", said Petru Rabdau, Mayor of Radeni village.

"I do not know where they got the information, we were not pressured to get any signatures for Mr. Filip. No one from Promo-LEX contacted me". 

On the other side, Promo-LEX experts admit that they did not talk directly with mayors to check the veracity of the claims. According to them, the conclusions of an observer were included in the report.

" - This information was obtained from the interviews with the village voters, with the people in the village.

 - The observatory did not speak personally with the mayors?

 - As far as I can tell, I do not have to. All the statements we mentioned in the report are just notifications", said Pavel Postica, Promo-LEX program director.

The Democratic Party has previously criticized Promo-LEX's elaboration of the reports, stating that they are not fact-based, being just a set of personal thoughts by a group of observers. And recently, one of the members of the Central Electoral Commission, Iurie Ciocan, said that the reports of this association represent an interference in the electoral process and the inappropriate influence of the voters.
