The Social Investment Fund of Moldova public institution will be responsible for the preparation, implementation and reporting of the implementation of the list of projects funded by the Romanian Government. A decision in this regard was approved today by the Executive.
Recently, 3 million Euro has been disbursed in the Social Investment Fund account for the development of the educational infrastructure and the creation of better conditions for children attending preschool institutions. Thus, with the financial support of Romania, 244 kindergartens from 33 districts of the country will be renovated. Depending on the existing needs, furniture will be bought, repaired roofs, food and sanitary blocks. At the same time, teaching materials, playgrounds, festive and sports halls will be purchased.
On April 27, 2010, the Government of Chisinau and Bucharest signed an Agreement on the Implementation of the Technical and Financial Assistance Program on the basis of a 100 million euro non-reimbursable financial aid granted by Romania to the Republic of Moldova.
Up to now, over 900 kindergartens in our country have already been renovated, out of about 1500 existing ones.
