Uninsured mothers who receive the monthly minimum allowance of 640 lei, if they have no other income, can apply for additional state support from the state. About this, the head of the National Social Insurance House, Valentina Buliga, at the TV show "Glavnoe" from TVC21, writes telegraph.md.
Valentina Buliga says that since January 1 the amount of the allowance has increased - from 540 to 630 and the age of the child up to which the uninsured mother receives this allowance - from 1.5 years to 2 years. "This is not a big increase, but we must tend to increase it", says CNAS head.
Also, from the beginning of this year, for children born in 2019, the amount of the unique childbirth allowance was set at 6.303 lei.
Valentina Buliga also mentioned that currently an employed person provides the pension for 1.3 retirees. In order to increase this coefficient, the head of CNAS claims that the number of jobs should be increased. "If there are more employees, more contributions to the social fund, there will be even more possibilities to increase the old-age pension and initiate more social programs".
The CNAS Chief says that according to social recommendations, for elderly people to receive decent pensions, the coefficient has to be 4 employees per retiree. That is, the old-age pension consists of the contributions of four employees persons.
Valentina Buliga also says that in May this year the authorities will make recalculations and set a new minimum wage in the economy.
