A new mandate for Valeriu Ghiletchi at PACE. The Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova was re-elected as President of the Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe for the Election of ECHR Judges.

Thus, the PACE deputies reiterated their support for the Moldovan deputy, who also held this position in the previous session. The dignitary said on his Facebook profile that he is honored with the trust and support he has given. 

The deputy chairman of the Chisinau Legislative becomes one of the most powerful voices at PACE, Valeriu Ghiletchi being the only Moldovan deputy elected in this position. 

The Parliamentarian has previously headed the Committee on Social Affairs, Health and Sustainable Development, but also held the position of PACE Vice-President.
