Details of BURNED BUS from Ceadir-Lunga: The fire would have been caused by a business competitor
The coach owner, which was burned this weekend in Ceadir-Lunga, claims the incident was caused by a businessman. He excludes the fact that in this case it is a business competitor. It was after socialist Ion Ceban previously said that the fire was intentional, and the reason is that in this bus was filmed in an electoral spot of PSRM. And the law people claim that the incident has nothing to do with politics.
The owner of the transport company, Victor Sarioglo, thinks he is the victim of a rivalry because he recently dropped the ticket price for one of the international flights he operates.
"It is not a political affair either, we have not thought about it because we are neutral people in politics. We do not support either the right or the left, obviously this is a battle between competitors", said Victor Sarioglo, the owner of the transport company.
Police argue that a criminal case has been initiated in this case. And the law people claim that the incident has nothing to do with politics.
"It turned out that at three o'clock in the afternoon there was a phone call to 112 where the parking guard said that a bus was on fire, and the incident was taken by the police, the specialists from the National Investigation Inspectorate. The same evening, a criminal case was commenced in accordance with Article 197 paragraph 2, the burning of the good of the owner in good faith. Several video sequences were taken from the scene, revealing that this bus it was intentionally set on fire, other material evidence was found that proved the intentional incendiary.
I want to mention, after some divisions that have appeared in the media so far, no testimony has been received that this arson was based on political facts. On the contrary, two versions were submitted, both related to the business activity and the competition among the actors among them.
The injured parties said that on the eve of the incident, on January 15 they reduced the cost of transporting the Moldovan traveler to Turkey about 50 percent. They were threatened by some competitors not to do so. We have submitted this basic version and at the moment there are our employees working", said Alexandu Pinzari, head of the Police General Inspectorate.
We remind that the incident took place on Saturday night in Ceadir Lunga, on the territory of the coach park. According to the transport company owner, the images captured in the surveillance cameras show how a man approaches the coach and places a packet of flammable substance under the rear wheels. After a few seconds, the flame rang and then destroyed nearly 80 percent of the bus. Victor Sarioglo also says that it can not be repaired, and losses reach up to 40,000 euros.
For the moment, the police have not identified any suspects in this case. The person found guilty is at risk of up to six years of jail for deliberate arson of material goods.
