Survey: Voting intentions for Democratic party of Moldova step up
Voting intentions for Democratic Party of Moldova increases, says a new survey conducted by the International Republican Institute (IRI) in the USA. Moreover, people who want to vote for Andrei Năstase decreases dramatically.
The study also shows that if parliamentary elections were to take place next Sunday, four parties would enter the legislature.
According to the IRI survey, most Moldovans (39%) would vote for the Socialist Party, slightly higher than last autumn data submitted by this institute.
Until November 2018, however, the PSRM significantly lost the voters.
Democratic Party of Moldova is ranked second with 14 percent, two percent higher after few months.
This is the party that has increasing voting intentions.
The Action and Solidarity party headed by Maia Sandu accounted for 13 percent of voting, recording a slight increase after a decline last fall.
The party of Dignity and Truth, part of the PAS-PPDA bloc created by the Sandu-Năstase, remains with fewer sympathizers. Andrei Năstase's party is currently had 9 percent of votes, three percent less than last fall.
The study also shows that at the bottom of the survey is Ilan Şor party which only had 5 percent of the voters.
Additionally, 2 per cent of the IRI survey participants said they would not vote for any party, and 9 per cent said they did not know or did not answer this question.
The US Republican International Institute survey was conducted from 5 December 2018 to 16 January 2019 on a sample of 1226 people. The margin of error is plus minus 2.8%.
