Russian Press: "Igor Dodon will probably live in Mausoleum and wash Lenin's legs"
President of Moldova, Igor Dodon, has often been the target of jokes and criticism in the Moscow press, where he often goes.
If a few days ago, Dodon was taken over in a humorous show broadcast by Russian NTV, a year ago, Dodon was named the worst of all leaders in the world.
Igor Dodon is not taken seriously, and his visits to Russia are rather a matter of jealousy and irony. Former deputy of the State Duma in Moscow, current journalist Alexandr Nevzorov, in an interview with the Russian radio station "Eho Moskvy" granted in January 2018, spoke in very harsh terms about Dodon.
"Dodon is foolish. He played too much for the President and he were sent to Moscow, where he promised his help in opening a business, but in the first period he will probably live in Mausoleum and will wash Lenin's legs",
In October 2017, after a meeting between Igor Dodon and the leader of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, the Russian newspaper "Kommersant" published an ironic article about the Moldovan President. The author, Andrei Kolesnikov, wrote that the event was important only for Dodon, not for Putin. This was because the President of the Republic of Moldova intended to demonstrate by this visit that he fulfilled his electoral promises.
The journalist writes that Vladimir Putin has only spoken out of it. Instead, Igor Dodon paid special attention to what he said. "Igor Dodon had emotions during the meeting, but he tried to seem balanced, if that is possible in his case", said the journalist.
Recently, in a humorous show, Russian presenter Tigran Keosayan of NTV's Russian television station called Dodon "Kremlin tourist". The journalist presented in an ironic note the last visit of the Moldovan president to Moscow.
"Dodon listened with interest Putin to strengthen the Moldovan-Russian friendship and he insistently looked at the ceiling and the walls, trying to find something to repair. The Moldovan president did not know that the Kremlin faience was laid by workers who have at least Major's degree. "
The media institution that broadcast the show in which Igor Dodon is ironized is retransmitted in our country by people close to PSRM, a party whose informal leader is Dodon.
