SURVEY: Trust for Vlad Plahotniuc and Pavel Filip increase
Moldovan Democratic Party Chairman Vlad Plahotniuc and Prime Minister Pavel Filip enjoy the trust of more Moldovans. At the same time, the popularity of the PPDA leader, Andrei Năstase, is decreasing. These are the findings of the most recent survey conducted by the International Republican Institute in the US.
According to the survey, the top of the trust is led by President Igor Dodon, who enjoys the sympathy of 31 percent of Moldovans, a little more than last fall. The head of state is followed by Maia Sandu, with 14 percent.
His popularity grew slightly, while people's confidence in his electoral partner, Andrei Năstase, declined by 2 percentage points.
In just a few months, people's trust in Moldovan Democratic Party Chairman Vlad Plahotniuc increased significantly by 4 per cent. The Democrat leader enjoys the support of 10 per cent of Moldovans. Vlad Plahotniuc is followed by his party colleague, Prime Minister Pavel Filip, who registered an increase of 2 percentage points.
PSRM leader Zinaida Greceanii and Ilan Sor enjoy the trust of 5 percent from the survey participants.
On the top of the list is the former President of the country, Communist Vladimir Voronin and Gagauzia UTA Bashkan Irina Vlah.
Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu has the support of 2 percent of Moldovan people.
