At least 10 persons hit two policemen in a village from the north of the country, writes deschide.md.

The conflict started after the police started to follow a VAZ whose driver refused to pull over.

The incident took place yesterday, on February 7, in Mandac village, Drochia district.

The policemen asked the driver to stop driving, but he refused.

When they started the fight, five more villagers got involved in it.

Liliana Bologan, IP Drochia press officer declared that the villagers are gypsies. They hit the police officers in the head and the breast zone.

"The policemen noticed the VAZ car that was driving chaotically. The driver ignored policemen's request. When they stopped, five men get out of the car and started to fight the policemen. The people of the law requested another team to come. They managed to detain the five persons", said Bolocan.

The other three persons aged of 19, 25 and 26 have been extorted to Drochia police inspectorate. They have been detained for 72 hours.

The other two men aged of 31 and 36 are searched by the people of the law.
