Good news for pupils. Chemistry and biology laboratories will be renovated
183 schools from the country will receive modern chemistry and biology equipment. Thus, the students can experience different experiments.
According to the representatives of the Education Ministry, the renovated schools will benefit of this project.
The first two laboratories from Cantemir, Leova, Rascani, Calarasi, Orhei, Glodeni and Ungheni will be equipped this year. The first lyceum where the project is about to be implemented is Mesterul Manole from Salcuta village. Four years ago, the school benefited of a 46 million lei grant offered by the World Bank.
"We are in a chemistry hall now. We can install the equipment only in the classes connected to sewerage and electricity system", said Liuba Plesca, the director of Mesterul Manole Lyceum.
The pupils are waiting to implement the knowledge that they gained.
"Within a laboratory, it is easier to show an experiment, because you have the required tools", said Olesea Caldare, teacher.
All the renovated institutions within Schools Reform will receive new furniture and equipment.
"This year we will provide equipment to nine schools out of 183. The World bank allocated 30 thousand USD, ten thousands for each", said Mariana Goras,direction chief a the Education Ministry.
The total value of the project is 4 million 800 thousands USD.
