Group members of 5 men aged between 32 and 43, originally from Transnistria, are suspected of committing more than 15 thefts for two months. They would have caused around 2 million lei in Moldova.
The officers of the Directorate for Combating Crimes of Crime, together with the PCCOCS prosecutors and in collaboration with the Criminal Investigation Directorates and the DP Chisinau officials, undertook a series of special investigative measures, criminal investigations and ambushes at night.
The offenders had more cars to go to where they committed the crime.
Thus, following the extensive joint operation of Moldovan and Odessa police officers, two suspects were detained when a Lexus model was dismantled in the city of Odessa.
Furthermore, the Moldovan police officers, in cooperation with the Odessa law enforcement bodies, undertake special investigative actions for the establishment and detention of all persons belonging to the group, as well as the determination of all the cases committed by the members of the group.
If they are found guilty of committing crimes on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, the suspects are at risk from 7 to 12 years of imprisonment.
