National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) approved the Decision of the Board of Directors on quality indicators for electronic communications services and the Decision on the approval of Methodology for measuring and evaluating the quality parameters of publicly available electronic communications services provided through the GSM, UTMS and LTE mobile public mobile networks in the 800, 900, 1800, 2100 and 2600 MHz bands.
The new regulatory acts aim to provide better end-users understanding of the quality of mobile services (voice and SMS) and data transfer services without the need for them to have deep technology knowledge.
According to Economy and Infrastructure Minister Chiril Gaburici, ANRCETI's new regulatory acts will improve the quality of voice and data services within mobile networks.
"The application of the new indicators will contribute to the implementation of the legal framework necessary for the objective monitoring of the quality of the electronic communications services," stressed Chiril Gaburici.
Electronic communications providers will submit to ANRCETI and publish on their websites information on the quality of electronic communications services for two categories of quality indicators - administrative quality indicators, such as: the initial network connection term, the frequency of end-user complaints , the frequency of complaints and their remedial action, the deadline for solving complaints, etc. and technical quality indicators.
