The foreigners prefer the Moldovan sheep meat. This improved the export.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, over 1.700 tones of Moldovan meat was transported in foreign countries, this is 13% more than in 2017.

Thus, the total value of the exports exceeded five million 330 thousand USD.

The biggest meat quantity was transported in CSI, where 975 tones worth three million USD were transported.

Anyway, the export volume decreased, as in 2017 it was one thousand tones. Big meat quantities were transported in Qatar and Egypt.

For the first time, Moldova exported meat in Kuwait and Bahrain. Here, 121 tones and 31 tones have been exported.

According to the specialists, the meat export decreased in coparision with the same period of 2017.
