A bicyclist died after a drunk driver hit him. The tragedy took place yesterday night in Cahul district.

According to the police, the driver aged 34 was driving to Cahul when he hit the man aged 40.

After the wounds, the victim died, while the driver dun away.

People of the law found him and detained. 

The man denies that he was drunk and requested to pass the blood test. The police opened a criminal file. If found guilty, the driver risks eight years behind bars.
