Masks parade in Taraclia. Residents of the town drove away the bad spirits. The Bulgarians from Taraclia wore terrifying masks today and walked this way on the town's streets to get rid of the bad luck.
"These masks are handmade. The tradition says that these are a symbol of the bad spirits. Also, we have a bell and its sound drives away the bad spirits."
The tradition was inherited by Bulgarians. All along the winter, the young make their masks that are called "kuker" in Bulgarian.
"We made everything by ourselves. This is a kind of a bell."
The Bulgarians are proud of their traditions.
"We were passing by. It is impossible not to stop and watch them"
The "Kezesko horo" festival is at its second edition.
