The National Company for Medicine Insurace will fund 5.500 cataract surgeries worth over 55 million lei this year.

All the persons who have insurance will benefit of this project.

According to CNAM the cost of a surgery is 10 thousand lei. At the same time, the number of the institutions that can make these surgeries is three times more.

The previous year, CNAM made contracts with 14 institutions in this sense. Over 4000 Moldovans have been surged the previous year, which is 300 more than the previous year. 

In this sense, 40 million lei was allocated by the medical assistance funds.
